Description
Bluesdog, called Krosserdog in English releases, is a DOG-type Medarot designed as the enhanced successor to Cyandog. It trades slight power reduction for improved accuracy. Its design features a dominant blue color scheme accented with yellow and silver, a head distinguished by prominent dog-like ears and a large yellow "X," and leg units incorporating a tail structure. Armament consists of a Head Cannon, an Aim Rifle right arm, a Battle Rifle left arm, and Gun Platform legs, all optimized for ranged combat.

Narratively, Bluesdog is linked to Iwanoi (Spyke), a member of the antagonistic group The Screws. After repeated defeats caused Cyandog to abandon him, Iwanoi obtained a rare Bluesdog unit, one of only 200 produced, as a replacement. During a later reconciliation, Iwanoi transferred Cyandog's Monkey Medal into the Bluesdog chassis, merging their identities and renaming the unit Bluesdog. This fusion enhanced combat performance, combining the upgraded frame with Cyandog's battle experience.

Post-transformation, Bluesdog displayed heightened capabilities, including precise targeting in training. However, it retained traces of its predecessor's clumsiness, sometimes causing accidental friendly fire during team engagements. Despite this, it demonstrated strategic value, such as incapacitating opponents while being simultaneously eliminated from the arena, thereby aiding allies. Iwanoi's persistent status as Japan's lowest-ranked Medafighter limited Bluesdog's competitive success, though the Medarot itself proved more reliable than its pilot's skill level.

Bluesdog appeared in multiple games. In "Medarot 2," it served as Iwanoi's primary unit, its head's X-marking symbolizing his role as the "Phillips Head Screw" within The Screws. Titles like "Medarot 2 Core" repositioned it as a generic random encounter opponent, while "Medabots AX" maintained its association with Iwanoi. Later iterations in "Medarot 8" and "Medarot S: Unlimited Nova" refined its ranged specialization, altering its leg unit effects to "Shooter" and "Aim," respectively.
