Description
Leozack commands the elite Decepticon Breastforce and serves as Deathsaurus's most trusted lieutenant, though his loyalty is a calculated deception. His core ambition is to overthrow Deathsaurus and seize leadership of the Decepticons, pursued through covert scheming and opportunistic power grabs. Despite Leozack's efforts to conceal these intentions, Deathsaurus remains fully aware of the treachery but largely dismisses it due to Leozack's frequent incompetence and impulsive behavior.
He transforms into a green and white Grumman F-14 Tomcat jet fighter. His signature weapon is the Lionbreast, a detachable breastplate that reconfigures into a lion-like attack companion or a handheld energy weapon called the Leo Cannon. He also wields Electromagnetic Nunchaku in combat. As part of the Breastforce, Leozack combines with teammates Drillhorn, Killbison, Jallguar, Hellbat, and Guyhawk to form the combiner Liokaiser, where Leozack constitutes the upper torso and head.
Throughout the Victory anime, Leozack orchestrates energy raids and military operations against the Autobots. Early missions include attacking Star Saber while the Autobot leader escorts his human son, Jan, to school, an action endangering civilians that forces Leozack's retreat after sustaining critical damage. He frequently disobeys direct orders to prove his capability, such as recklessly blasting open subway tunnels during an energy theft, inadvertently alerting Autobot forces. His leadership is marred by failures, often exacerbated by rival Breastforce member Hellbat's counter-scheming or his own tactical errors.
Leozack's significant plot involves recruiting Deathcobra to replace the unreliable Hellbat in Liokaiser's combination. Upon learning of this plan, Hellbat intercepts and accidentally kills Deathcobra, then frames Autobot Micromasters for the murder. This deception allows Hellbat to retain his position, leaving Leozack unaware of the truth. The incident enables the Breastforce's first successful combination as Liokaiser, which temporarily overwhelms Star Saber until Autobot reinforcements intervene.
As Leozack's ambitions intensify, Deathsaurus confronts him openly. In a critical encounter, Deathsaurus pins Leozack with his Beast partners and forces him to swear eternal allegiance under threat of execution. With no alternative, Leozack capitulates and subsequently aids Deathsaurus in luring Star Saber into a trap that gravely injures the Autobot leader. Despite this forced loyalty, Leozack continues leading missions, including energy thefts thwarted by Autobot warrior Victory Leo and an attempt to steal combination data by impersonating Star Saber. His later schemes involve deploying metal-eating insects and exploiting natural disasters, though these too are ultimately foiled.
In the manga continuity, Leozack's sister Lyzack is depicted caring for Decepticon families during his absences, though his personal storyline remains less explored compared to the anime.
