OVA
Description
Moonradar commands the Rocket Base on the Autobot-ruled planet Zone, a role assigned under Victory Saber’s "Zone Project." Tasked with deploying Galaxy Shuttle and Galaxy Rocket to neutralize Decepticon incursions galaxy-wide, his brash and reckless nature often drives him into battle without strategic forethought, yielding unpredictable outcomes. Rabbicrater, his steadfast ally, consistently intervenes to curb these impulsive actions, providing tactical restraint.
Amid clashes with the Nine Great Demon Generals, Moonradar spearheaded Zone’s defense operations. He joined Galaxy Rocket and Micromaster units to repel Flame General Bruticus’s assault on Feminia, aiding in the enemy’s downfall. Later, when the Demon Generals plundered Zone’s Energon Z reserves, he defied Rabbicrater’s warnings and led a pursuit team to Earth, only to be ambushed and captured by Violengiguar’s forces. The Powered Masters later secured his rescue during the hostage crisis involving Galaxy Rocket.
By 2038, Moonradar coordinated Zone’s counteroffensive against Metrotitan’s invasion, partnering with Galaxy Shuttle to repel the assault. He later commanded Zone Base’s artillery to bolster Sonic Bomber’s clash with Star Giant. Beyond warfare, he advocated for a future utopia where humans and robots thrive together, a vision solidified after Violengiguar’s defeat.
His alternate mode is a crimson lunar buggy equipped with a radar dish, optimized for harsh landscapes. In robot form, silver headgear and azure optics complement integrated fist-mounted blasters, while shoulder and calf wheels underscore his vehicular agility.
As a redeco of Micromaster Countdown, his toy debuted in the Rocket Base set alongside the Rescue Patrol Team. The set’s dual-purpose launchpad and fortress design mirrored his strategic command duties.
