Description
Forged by Megatron alongside Sonic Bomber and Roadfire as the Poweredrons, Dai Atlas was created for space exploration and establishing energy-producing colony worlds for the Decepticons. Discovering the harvested energy harmed innocent life, the group rebelled. They evacuated Cybertronian civilians to the hidden colony Paradron, defected to the Autobots, and rechristened themselves the Powered Masters.

Dai Atlas and his fellow Powered Masters later established the technological planet Zone, which developed the powerful energy source Energon Z. After the Nine Great Demon Generals destroyed planet Feminia and critically injured Autobot Supreme Commander Victory Saber, Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber located the missing leader and brought him to Zone for recovery. Following reports of an attack on Earth, they departed to confront the Decepticon threat.

On Earth, Dai Atlas intervened to save besieged Autobot Micromasters and humans. He raced Devastator underground to secure the Zodiac, a primordial energy source capable of creating universes. After defeating Devastator using the environment, he pursued King Poseidon to the surface. When Trypticon attacked, Sonic Bomber sacrificed himself to shield Dai Atlas, sustaining near-fatal injuries. In response, Dai Atlas activated the Zodiac's power. This energy healed Sonic Bomber and transformed both warriors into heavily armed "Zone Modes," allowing them to obliterate Trypticon and King Poseidon. Dai Atlas then pursued the fleeing Predaking, bisecting him with his Zone Sword Cutter.

Returning victorious to Zone with the Zodiac, the recuperating Victory Saber formally appointed Dai Atlas as the new Autobot Supreme Commander. His leadership significantly bolstered Autobot morale and resolve. He subsequently led missions to rescue hostages taken by BlackZarak and personally defeated Overlord, the strongest Demon General, using his "Galactic Dash" attack.

When Violengiguar summoned the massive Metrotitan to attack the Lunar Zone Base, Dai Atlas combined with Sonic Bomber into Sky Powered to counter the threat, though they were initially frozen. Roadfire's arrival turned the tide, defeating Metrotitan and joining the Powered Masters. Violengiguar later stole the Zodiac and escaped to the Tenth Planet with hostages. Dai Atlas, Sonic Bomber, and Roadfire pursued, combining into Big Powered. After Violengiguar split into three entities, Dai Atlas destroyed one component. Violengiguar then transformed into a phoenix-like entity of Decepticon spirits. Empowered by the Zodiac, Big Powered unleashed the "Powered Rainbow Attack," obliterating Violengiguar. The Zodiac's energy subsequently transformed the Tenth Planet into a utopia.

Facing the threat of Dark Nova, Dai Atlas entrusted the Battlestars, led by Sky Garry, with resurrecting Optimus Prime using the Zodiac. He appointed Sky Garry as temporary Supreme Commander during this mission.

Subsequent events saw Dai Atlas inspire the creation of the Legends World by Twin Twist and Topspin using Zodiac energy. In 2035, Dai Atlas, Sonic Bomber, and Roadfire traveled to the Tenth Planet to investigate disturbances, where a resurrected Violengiguar destroyed their bodies and stole them. Their sparks were recovered in 2038 by Perceptor and Wheeljack, who placed them into new protoforms equipped with Headmaster functionality. Attempting to stop Violengiguar from stealing the Zodiac on Cybertron, their lack of original Powered Engines hampered them. Dai Atlas held his own only by borrowing power from Twin Twist and Topspin. Anticipating Violengiguar's next target, he directed efforts towards the Z Planet.

By 2050, the reassembled Zodiac fragments formed a Silver Matrix. Dai Atlas and the Powered Masters encountered Primus and the Golden Age from the Precursor World, who sought this artifact, leading to conflict.

In a separate continuity, Dai Atlas founded the neutral Crystal City on Cybertron during the early stages of the civil war, seeking refuge from the conflict. He enforced a strict non-violence policy within the city. This stance persisted even after the knight Wing brought the Decepticon Drift into the city. When Drift betrayed Crystal City to slavers, Dai Atlas initially refused to fight back. He only took action after witnessing Wing's death during the ensuing battle, rallying the citizens to defeat the invaders. Following the victory, he vowed to open Crystal City as a beacon of Cybertronian ideals.

As a Powered Master, Dai Atlas possesses multiple transformation modes: a drill tank, a jet, and a base configuration. His base mode features motorized treads functioning as moving walkways. He can combine with Sonic Bomber to form Sky Powered, with Roadfire to form Land Powered, and with both to form the massive Big Powered. He has a close partnership with his Micromaster partner, Speeder, who pilots his gun turret in vehicle modes. His physical design includes wings that combine to form his signature Z-Sword, and ramps that assemble into a shield.
