Description
Mega co-leads Earth's Decepticon forces with her husband, Giga, serving as Devil Z's "Ambassador of Destruction." Bonded to a shared transtector named Overlord, she pilots the Megajet component while Giga controls the Gigatank. Devil Z recruited them after their drowning at sea, reviving them and binding them to Overlord with the mission to find other Godmaster transtectors on Earth.
Her character reveals a complex duality. She is fiercely loyal to the Decepticon cause and ruthless in battle, creating explosive "deathballs" and posing as a fortune teller to frame Autobots for disasters. Simultaneously, she displays strong maternal instincts, doting on the Decepticon Headmaster Juniors, especially Cancer, whom she treats like a son and gifts the Transformer Browning. This concern sometimes compromises her mission effectiveness, such as prioritizing Cancer's morale during training.
Mega fights in key battles, combining with Giga into Overlord to nearly defeat the Autobot leader Ginrai. However, her allegiance fractures when Devil Z escalates his plan to exterminate humanity using the Death Para-Machine. Horrified by this genocide and Devil Z's abuse of Hydra and Buster, she and Giga rebel. They attempt to prove humanity's power by fighting Ginrai honorably without weapons. Devil Z retaliates by forcibly separating them from Overlord during a confrontation at the Matterhorn, causing their physical collapse and implied death as their Master-Braces vanish.
In the *Legends* comic continuity, Devil Z resurrects Mega and Giga in 2021 within the Legends World. They initially resume their Decepticon roles, using Clouder as a double agent and stealing Master-Braces to regain Godmaster abilities. Later, they open the "Chōkon Tower Chinese Restaurant" as a front to lure Ginrai into a rematch. During this time, they master *Shinchōkon* energy, enabling them to summon a second Overlord transtector and combine into "Overlord Tera." After defeat by Ginrai and Devil Z's capture, they abandon warfare, opting to run the restaurant peacefully while awaiting another rematch. They later assist in defeating Devil Z when he resurfaces as a new BlackZarak.
Mega's arc weaves together ruthless loyalty, maternal compassion, redemption through rebellion, and eventual reconciliation with former enemies, reflecting themes of humanity's value amid war.
