Description
Turtler, a sentient Decepticon Seacon, sports a robotic blue-and-pink turtle-like form. As the only conscious entity among the Seacons, he leads legions of disposable, mindless drones, merging with them to create the combiner King Poseidon. Though loyal to Decepticon command, Turtler chafes under the burden of his monstrous appearance, frequently venting his rage on the subordinate Seacon drones.
In *Super-God Masterforce*, Turtler emerges as a persistent threat, unleashing King Poseidon in numerous clashes against Autobot forces. His combined form clashes repeatedly with Autobot Godmaster Ginrai, including during an island hostage standoff and an underwater volcanic eruption near Sydney. Though King Poseidon’s limbs often meet destruction in these battles, Turtler evades annihilation through strategic retreats into oceanic depths or subterranean hideouts. Subsequent operations in France and Australia see his combiner form dismantled by Autobot reinforcements or Grand Maximus’s overwhelming firepower.
Post-*Masterforce*, Turtler resurfaces in *Zone* among Violengiguar’s Nine Demon Generals. King Poseidon launches assaults on the ocean planet Wall and Earth but is driven back by Micromaster defenses, meeting his temporary end at the hands of Autobot commander Dai Atlas.
*Generations Selects* expands Turtler’s narrative. After Ginrai defeats him conclusively in 2020, he crosses paths with Halfshell, a future Seacon leader. The pair forge an alliance, journeying to the Predacessor world and aiding Galvatron in harvesting Angolmois Energy. This partnership earns Turtler an enhanced physique and the mantle “King of Seacons.” He later challenges Optimus Prime with upgraded Gulf drones and a reconstructed King Poseidon. When Halfshell’s true agenda surfaces—including plans to exploit him as experimental fodder—Turtler terminates their pact.
