Description
Theodora Dephilo served as the sole female member of Ruti Ragnason's Hero party before Tisse Garland joined. An assistant instructor in the temple knight's spear style, she represents the pinnacle of human clerics, wielding the Crusader divine blessing through devout service to the church of Almighty Demis. Typically stoic, rational, and level-headed, she possesses a capacity for intense anger when provoked, such as by Ares' betrayal or Van nearly killing Albert. She also becomes visibly flustered when her romantic feelings for Albert are mentioned.

Initially viewing Ruti strictly as a symbol bound to the Hero's destiny, Theodora prioritized duty over Ruti's feelings, confronting her to enforce the heroic path. Her perspective evolved, however, leading her to respect Ruti's autonomy, including accepting Ruti's resignation as the Hero. Following this, she adopted the alias Escarlata, wearing a blindfold and forgoing her armor while retaining her usual color palette.

In combat, Theodora employs potent regeneration and healing skills. Her formidable physical strength is demonstrated by overpowering the Hero Van and instantly destroying his armor. She excels tactically, notably using her spear as a lightning rod to neutralize Lavender's magic. Her primary weapon is the spear, wielded with exceptional skill, and she moves at lightning-fast speeds to defeat enemies.

Theodora harbors deep respect for Red's abilities and shares the party's hatred for Ares, blaming him for Red's banishment and the party's destabilization; she refused to attend Ares' funeral. She developed romantic feelings for Albert, her trained squire, a subject of teasing by others. She maintained close camaraderie with Danan, united by mutual disdain for Ares and shared outrage over Red's unjust banishment. Her relationship with Yarandrala was marked by solidarity as comrades who both left the party and boycotted the funeral. She questioned Van's legitimacy as Ruti's successor and distrusted his motives.
