Description
Yao Sakurakouji, daughter of a prominent Miami City figure, leverages immense family wealth from the Sakurakouji Conglomerate. Her path to the Miami City Police began after repeated assassination attempts by Leon Morimoto. Resisting her assigned bodyguard, Lu Amano, Yao intervened during an attack where Lu was injured. Her ego-driven actions led to Morimoto's capture and her controversial decision to join the force, opposed by both her father and Police Chief Amano.

Driven by an insatiable craving for attention and senseless violence, Yao views police work primarily as a vehicle for high-speed pursuits, gunfights, and indiscriminate destruction. Her reckless missions often involve excessive force and property damage, showing minimal regard for public safety or collateral consequences. Focused solely on personal thrills and maintaining the spotlight, her impulsiveness and lack of situational awareness frequently endanger her. Despite this self-centered outlook, she exhibits unwavering loyalty to her partner Lu, an exception to her general indifference.

Her relationship with her disapproving father involves periodic financial restrictions due to her spending or destruction, forcing her to borrow money from Lu at high interest rates. Her dynamic with Lu contrasts her impulsivity with his calculated approach, yet they function effectively as partners. Yao also forms a misguided friendship with Nagisa Tojo, a major figure in "the Organization" seeking revenge after Yao foils her. Yao remains oblivious to Nagisa's antagonism, believing her a genuine ally, while Lu harbors suspicions.

She receives steadfast support from Jii, her multi-skilled family retainer, who handles tasks from mechanics to mercenary work. Her police activities include confronting bank robbers, thwarting Nagisa's schemes, undercover operations at a girls' school, and bounty hunting collaborations. Throughout these events, her motivations remain consistent: pursuing excitement, violence, and personal recognition without significant character evolution.
