Description
Skywarp, a Maximal aerial combat instructor dispatched from Cybertron, reinforces Lio Convoy’s forces on Gaia with expertise in aerial tactics and electronics innovation. He transforms into a bald eagle featuring spring-loaded "Sky Missile" wing launchers and concealed "Wing Caliber" feather-swords for close combat, while generating sonic booms to clear terrain.

Alongside Santon, he delivers critical intelligence about the artificial planet Nemesis and Galvatron’s plan to weaponize unstable Angolmois Energy. They encounter Lio Junior, a wild cub born from Lio Convoy’s duplicated Energon Matrix. During their first battle against Galvatron, Skywarp and Santon initiate a forced fusion with Lio Junior, forming the combiner Magnaboss to channel the cub’s volatile energies.

As Magnaboss, Skywarp functions as the headdress, chest armor, and back component. This form proves pivotal in repelling Gigastorm and countering Cyborg Beasts Hellscream and Max-B. Tensions flare with Lio Junior over the cub’s impulsiveness and grandstanding. During a mission for a teleportation gate key, Skywarp and Santon refuse to combine, indirectly causing Tasmania Kid’s injury—straining their relationship until reconciling during Lio Junior’s brief defection to the Predacons.

A decorated educator, Skywarp mentors young Maximals but struggles with Lio Junior’s rebelliousness. He repeatedly intervenes to halt the cub’s recklessness, such as attempts to dive into Angolmois Energy pools. When corrupted Angolmois Energy drives Lio Junior to attack Lio Convoy, Skywarp and Santon attempt another forced merge to restrain him, though Lio Convoy resolves the crisis.

In the Nemesis conflict, Skywarp stabilizes Angolmois Energy geysers, defends artillery cannons targeting Nemesis, and aids in launching the starship Yukikaze toward the artificial planet. He battles the Seacon Scylla mid-air, later forming Magnaboss against the combined God Neptune. On Nemesis, he provides defensive support during the infiltration of the planet’s core.

Skywarp evolves from a strict instructor to a steadfast mentor for Lio Junior. Despite early friction, their partnership solidifies through shared battles and resolved ideological conflicts, culminating in unified efforts to thwart Galvatron.
