Description
Dr. Kenmochi is a doctor and the adoptive father of Hosuke Sharaku. One stormy night, a mysterious woman bearing a third eye on her forehead arrived at his home and entrusted him with her infant son, Sharaku. In exchange, she promised Kenmochi a long and prosperous life, then fled into the night only to be instantly killed by a lightning strike. Kenmochi raised the child as his own.

As Sharaku grew, Kenmochi noticed a third eye gradually forming on the boy’s forehead. When the eye fully developed, Sharaku began to exhibit extraordinary intelligence and a malicious disposition. Alarmed by these dangerous changes, Kenmochi covered the eye with a cross-shaped bandage. This caused Sharaku to return to an ordinary, childlike state, marked by lower intelligence and an obedient nature.

Kenmochi believes Sharaku’s abilities as a member of the Three-Eyed race present a serious threat. He has considered surgically removing the third eye to nullify its power and avert further danger.

As a professional acquaintance of the archaeologist Professor Subuta, Kenmochi occasionally enlists Sharaku’s help—when the boy’s third eye is exposed and his heightened intelligence is active—to interpret ancient texts related to archaeological discoveries.

Due to his professional duties, Kenmochi sometimes requires help caring for Sharaku. He depends on his friend Higeoyaji, the owner of a ramen shop called Rairaiken, to provide supervision during these times.
