Description
Ricky Kazama, legally named Tsutomu Kazama, is the lead racecar driver for the Misaki Conglomerate. Initially recruited with minimal experience, he rapidly ascended to become the team's premier competitor, showcasing extraordinary skill behind the controls of the advanced flying Machine Hiryu. His meteoric rise consistently defied expectations as he outperformed veteran racers.

Driven by an unwavering moral compass, Ricky prioritizes altruism and justice above all, frequently abandoning races to aid others despite personal peril or competitive cost. He intervenes impartially—rescuing rivals like Occanabitch, assisting a child's dying wish, or evacuating civilians during volcanic eruptions. While he self-identifies as charismatic with women, romantic pursuits largely falter except with Nana Misaki, who returns his affection. He shows no interest in Occanabitch’s wife or daughter, finding their personalities unappealing.

His bonds within the Misaki Conglomerate define his world: Chairman Misaki regards him as a surrogate son, while the Chairman’s granddaughter, Nana, serves as his romantic partner and chief mechanic for Machine Hiryu. Though occasionally jealous of his interactions with other women, Nana remains steadfastly supportive. Her younger brother Chouta and the chimpanzee Hideki view Ricky with deep loyalty and admiration, forging a familial dynamic. This unity starkly contrasts their rivals, the self-serving Gapporin Conglomerate.

No canonical media expands Ricky’s origins, family history, or personal evolution beyond these established traits. Later narratives shift toward thwarting an ancient conspiracy but do not develop his background or alter his core motivations. Spin-offs, movies, or OVAs exploring his role further remain undocumented.
