Description
Sally Po began her military career as a United Earth Sphere Alliance soldier stationed at colony A0206, where she unsuccessfully opposed General Septum's poison gas deployment against the colony. Following the Alliance mobile suit force's destruction, she transferred to a Japanese military hospital. There, she encountered Heero Yuy after Relena Darlian brought him in, observing his extraordinary physical conditioning for his age.
When OZ overthrew the Alliance leadership, Sally organized and commanded a loyalist brigade against OZ forces. At New Edwards base, she warned Heero about explosives targeting the Gundams but failed to halt the detonation. Her unit faced annihilation by OZ until Chang Wufei intervened, though he initially dismissed her group as weak. Sally later demonstrated steadfast resolve during another OZ assault, motivating Wufei to reignite his fighting spirit.
To prevent OZ from exploiting Gundam technology, Sally attempted to destroy Gundam Sandrock's remains. While planting bombs, she encountered the Maganac Corps stealing the mobile suit for Quatre Raberba Winner. Sally detonated her explosives prematurely to cover their escape, hijacking a Leo mobile suit as a diversion despite the bomb failing to destroy Sandrock. She later located Heero's hidden Wing Gundam but was captured by OZ during transport. After deducing the Gundam pilots' return to Earth, she escaped with Lucrezia Noin's aid. Sally entrusted Noin with the Wing Gundam, anticipating the Sanc Kingdom's use against Romefeller, and relayed intelligence about the Maganac Corps securing Sandrock.
Sally accompanied Heero into space aboard Wing Zero after locating Trowa Barton's Gundam Heavyarms. She served as battle commander aboard Peacemillion during the Eve Wars' climax, including the decision to ram Peacemillion into Libra battleship to disable its main cannon.
Post-war, Sally joined the Preventers agency under the codename "Water." During the Mariemaia Army uprising in Endless Waltz, she infiltrated Colony X-18999 using a stolen uniform and freed hostages—including Catherine Bloom—by deploying knockout gas against enemy forces. This action contributed to thwarting Dekim Barton's revival of Operation Meteor. Wufei later became her Preventers partner after the conflict.
