Description
Tama-Q is a small, hand-sized advisor robot resembling a cue ball. Discovered and awakened within a shrine in Hara-Hara World, it becomes the protagonist's companion and guide. Its core function is summoning the guardian knight King Squasher. This is achieved by inserting coins into the slot on its head, causing Tama-Q to dispense an egg that materializes the mecha.
The robot perches on the protagonist's shoulders during missions. It reveals the hero's destiny to fight antagonistic forces, facilitates the transformation into the armored warrior Lamuness, and orchestrates the summoning of the primary mecha unit. Tama-Q provides operational support during battles against enemies and their mechanical forces.
In later series installments, a successor named PQ fills a similar role for a new protagonist, establishing a legacy dynamic. PQ shares comparable design elements and narrative purpose, including mecha summoning through coin-based activation.
Tama-Q appears exclusively in the original television series, absent from subsequent sequels, OVAs, or manga adaptations. Its narrative presence concludes with the original storyline, though its design and purpose influence later robotic companion characters within the franchise. No additional background, origin story, or character development beyond these core functions and relationships is documented.
