He is ultimately revealed as Duran III, ruler of the Eastern Kingdom. Dissatisfied with existing peace, he orchestrated the conflict, manipulating the prophecy of Neryulla's return to lure Miyako into becoming a rebellion figurehead. This created a pretext for renewed military aggression and consolidation of his power. His dual identity allows him to operate publicly as King Duran III and covertly as the rebellion's guide, Radin.
