TV Special
Description
Vincent, also known as Jackson, comes from New Bark Town in the Johto region. He received a Chikorita as his starter Pokémon from Professor Elm; it evolved into Bayleef and ultimately into Meganium, which serves as his primary and most recognized Pokémon.
He shares a childhood history with trainers Jimmy (Kenta in Japanese) and Marina. Vincent harbors pronounced romantic feelings for Marina, often positioning himself as a rival to Jimmy for her attention. During Team Rocket's capture of Raikou, he displayed protectiveness toward Marina, catching her when she fell after her Beedrill was attacked and showing visible frustration when her focus remained on Jimmy. His Meganium intervened critically during a confrontation with Team Rocket operatives Attila and Hun, shattering Rock Throw projectiles aimed at Jimmy and Marina and subsequently attacking their Steelix.
Vincent participated in the Silver Conference under the name Jackson. His tournament team included Poliwhirl, Azumarill, Magneton, and Meganium. He faced Ash Ketchum in a full preliminary battle, deploying a strategic approach by reserving Meganium. His Magneton absorbed Pikachu's Electric-type attacks, countering with Thunder Wave and Tri-Attack combinations. The battle concluded with Meganium and Bulbasaur knocking each other out simultaneously with Solar Beam. Ash having secured more prior victories meant Jackson advanced. He later observed other matches, including Ash's quarter-final against Harrison.
In a later appearance, Vincent, alongside Jimmy and Marina, watched the Masters Eight Tournament match between Diantha and Lance.
His known Pokémon roster encompasses Meganium, Azumarill, Magneton, Poliwhirl, Golduck, and Quagsire, reflecting a diverse tactical approach combining defensive capabilities with offensive versatility.
