Description
Gekkou Kamen is a mysterious vigilante who operates from the shadows under a concealed identity. This highly skilled hero possesses no supernatural powers, relying instead on his formidable physical prowess, extensive combat training, and a diverse arsenal of weapons. His primary alter ego is Jūrō Iwai, a private detective, a secret intentionally kept ambiguous in the original live-action series, though the 1972 anime adaptation explicitly reveals this identity to its audience.
His signature costume is a striking ensemble of white tights, a white and red cape, a white scarf, yellow gloves and boots, dark glasses, and a cloth face mask, all crowned by a distinctive Indian-style turban pinned with a moon ornament. For the 1972 anime, this design was modified, replacing the turban with an open-face helmet and attaching the scarf to a cape ornament. He is armed with a whip, two six-shooter pistols, shuriken, and moon-shaped boomerangs, and his primary mode of transportation is a motorcycle.
