Description
Makoto Kondou is a high school student sharing a home with his stepsister Yui Narusawa and her mother, a family arrangement existing prior to the formal marriage of their parents. He frequently interacts with numerous classmates and young women both inside and outside school, often finding himself in situations where they seek his help or support. His characteristic response involves offering encouragement or tangible assistance, actions which consistently yield positive impacts on their lives. These interactions sometimes evolve into romantic or intimate encounters, with rewards frequently following his selfless acts.
The narrative initially unfolds through episodic encounters with different female characters, adopting a "girl of the week" pattern where Makoto provides consolation and enters a romantic relationship with a new girl each episode. Over time, the story shifts focus, consolidating into an arc centered on his pursuit of a relationship with Izumi, an archer. This romantic focus causes significant emotional distress for his stepsister and primary female counterpart, Yui Narusawa, who reacts with heartbreak. The resolution involves overcoming various manufactured crises, incorporates narrative-extending flashbacks, and culminates in the triumph of a romantic resolution.
