Description
Casshan, also known as Casshern, exists across distinct narratives in various media. In the original 1973 storyline, human Tetsuya Azuma voluntarily merges his consciousness with an artificial body, becoming the android Casshan to combat BK-1. Created by his father Dr. Kotaro Azuma, BK-1 gained sentience after a lightning strike, renaming itself Braiking Boss. Leading a robot army, Braiking Boss seeks humanity's eradication, believing it essential for Earth's ecological survival. As Casshan, Tetsuya wields superhuman speed, strength, and agility. His features include a retractable face mask, a crescent-shaped solar panel on his forehead for energy absorption, and waist-mounted pulsar propellers used for propulsion and combat. This form requires solar recharging, limiting sustained battle capability. He partners with Friender, a robotic dog rebuilt from his deceased pet, which transforms into vehicles like jets or tanks and aids in combat.
