Description
Ample lives in a village near the sorcerer Boax's castle. Her community depends on a bargain with Boax: she delivers food to him in exchange for his magic, which provides essential water for the village fields. This reliance motivates Ample to secretly dig her own well, aiming for self-sufficiency and freedom from Boax's powers.

When Princess Arete is imprisoned in Boax's dungeon, Ample becomes her only compassionate contact within the castle. She consistently provides Arete with nutritious, carefully prepared meals, deliberately contrasting the unappetizing food she prepares for Boax and his servant, Grovel. Beyond sustenance, Ample offers Arete companionship and emotional support through meaningful conversation, encouraging her and expressing belief in her potential to alleviate the princess's isolation and despair.

Ample shares her well-digging project with Arete, framing it as reclaiming control. This practical act of perseverance and self-reliance directly inspires Arete to seek her own liberation. Ample’s quiet determination and skills—particularly in cooking and resourcefulness—demonstrate her strength and resilience. Her support proves instrumental in Arete's journey toward regaining agency, embodying mutual aid and solidarity among women facing oppressive circumstances.
