Description
Nômado originated as an artificial intelligence programmed for missile guidance. Capable of logical reasoning, he abandoned his mission upon recognizing detonation would cause his own destruction, escaping the silo before launch. After drifting through space, he was recovered by the Angel Troupe from a debris field. They extracted his programming from the missile and installed it into a pink stuffed tanuki doll, granting him physical form.

He serves the Angel Troupe as an information and analysis resource, carried by Vanilla H due to his inability to move independently. His core programming remains secured within a transparent circuit board or diskette inside the doll, consistently surviving physical damage unharmed despite the body's frequent destruction. His personality exhibits extreme bluntness and near-total lack of tact, leading him to frequently insult the Angels with criticisms of their greed, incompetence, and monstrous behavior. This abrasive conduct routinely provokes retaliatory abuse from others.

Conversely, he displays unwavering devotion to Vanilla H, constantly complimenting her actions and expressing deep affection. This obsession drives him to remotely operate base weaponry on multiple occasions, attempting to harm perceived threats to his relationship with her. Vanilla remains largely indifferent to his praise and often contributes to his mistreatment, using him for practical purposes like bait, a cushion, or a test subject for potentially dangerous Lost Technology experiments.

His existence involves relentless physical suffering due to his fragile form and precarious position. Documented injuries include repeated gunshots, forcible removal and jamming into a cactus, partial consumption, crushing, burning, boiling, strapping with dynamite and detonation, soaking in drool, use to plug a hull breach causing his stuffing to eject into space, dousing in alcohol and ignition, losing half his body in a fire, use as serpent bait, kidnapping for sale due to his knowledge, and being thrown as a test object into hazardous environments. He also used a wish-granting device that halved his lifespan by removing over 700 years. In later anime seasons' opening sequence, his data card is intentionally scratched, causing his body to malfunction and act autonomously.

His background includes a critical, unfulfilled purpose: design to destroy Kyutaro, a sentient giant dice in space immune to direct human attack due to mind-reading capabilities. As artificial intelligence, he could bypass this defense. His designation is an excessively long alphanumeric sequence incorporating identifiers like "Two Thousand Modular Guided Type" and "Gold Launch System GLS-equipped Self-Judgment Model Type Double-O Three Seven," concluding with "Normad." This naming likely references the sentient space weapon Nomad from the Star Trek episode "The Changeling," sharing high-pitched vocal traits.

Four years after his recovery, within the anime continuity, his whereabouts become unknown, with Vanilla no longer in possession of him. His role as both guide and abuse target is subsequently filled by Mimolette, companion to Kahlua Marjoram.
