After their rescue, she provided medical care to the injured Kinnison, insisting on sufficient rest for his recovery despite his resistance to medical advice.

Later isolated, Clarissa MacDougall fell into the custody of the Boskonian leader Helmuth, necessitating a rescue mission by Kinnison. Her responsibilities encompassed medical duties and operational support within the Galactic Patrol.
