Description
Nova Forrester serves as a Star Force officer aboard the space battleship Argo. She initially works under Dr. Sane as a nurse before advancing to the role of radar operator on the first bridge. Her duties involve information interpretation, electronics, communications, coding, and hull demagnetization. During the mission to Iscandar, she forges a romantic relationship with Derek Wildstar, the ship's tactical officer.
Three years later, in Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato, Nova is engaged to Wildstar. He requests she remain safely on Earth due to the White Comet Empire threat, but she secretly boards the Yamato before its unauthorized launch. During the ensuing conflict, she takes a gunshot meant for Wildstar, fired by Comet Empire officer Miru during Wildstar's confrontation with Gamilas leader Dessler. Nova later perishes from her wounds during the fierce battle against the Comet Empire's forces.
Within the separate Yamato 2199 continuity, Nova bears a resemblance to the Iscandarian princess Astra Iscandar. Her nursing duties are reassigned to Makoto Harada, while her role as radar operator continues, shared within a shift-based system alongside two other crew members.
