Nozomi Egawa is a former actress who moved to Japan from New Zealand. She becomes neighbors with high school student Ryōtarō Shiba. Upon their first meeting, she notices his remarkable reflexes and sharp eyesight. This observation spurs her to encourage Ryōtarō to join the high school boxing club. Her motivation stems from a dream involving her brother, whom she hopes will box for Japan at the Barcelona Olympics. She champions Ryōtarō's boxing journey as part of this goal.
