Description
Designated GMX-GH101, Goldy Marg serves as a Brave Robot within the Gutsy Geoid Guard (later Gutsy Galaxy Guard) mobile unit. Developed specifically to enable Super Mechanoid GaoGaiGar to wield the Goldion Hammer safely, this G-Tool possesses an extremely high GS-Ride output and exceptional durability. Constructed using the G.O.R.D.I. concept (G-tech Origin Resisting and Damage Control Idea), it operates in two primary configurations: a 25.5-meter-tall Multi Robot mode and a 24-meter-long Vehicle Machine mode known as GoldyTank, both maintaining a dry weight of 625 tons. GoldyTank mode features enhanced mobility, achieving a maximum running speed of 156 km/h compared to the robot mode's 125 km/h, and utilizes a Rocket Thruster system for emergency propulsion.
Goldy Marg's core purpose is bearing the Goldion Hammer, a gravity shockwave-generating tool designed to transform impacted particles into photons below the atomic level. Goldy Marg cannot utilize this weapon directly in its standard form. Instead, it transforms into the Marg Hand, combining with GaoGaiGar (or later, Star GaoGaiGar or G.B.R.-11 GaoFighGar) to allow proper handling. The Goldion Hammer is physically integrated into Goldy Marg's structure, with the robot's head and AI unit mounted on the hammer itself. A beam cannon called the Marg Cannon is embedded into the hammer's handle, usable in both robot and tank modes.
Goldy Marg's Super AI is patterned after Lieutenant Geki Hyuuma's personality and thought processes, resulting in an arrogant, boastful, impatient, and stubborn disposition. This frequently leads to arguments between the AI and Hyuuma himself. Its capabilities include moving under amplified gravity fields that immobilize other units, vertically scaling sea walls, and withstanding point-blank explosions or extreme falls without significant damage.
Its operational history begins during the conflict against EI-21. Activated accidentally by a falling cable, it confronted the Zonder independently while GGG was immobilized by gravity manipulation. Although initially struggling, it successfully destroyed the Space Development Center's observatory, causing it to collapse onto EI-21 and neutralize the gravity effect, enabling GaoGaiGar's subsequent combination and victory using the Goldion Hammer.
During the events chronicled in *The King of Braves GaoGaiGar FINAL*, Goldy Marg continued service until its destruction alongside the Goldion Hammer in Osaka during a battle against Repli-Star GaoGaiGar when Repli-Mamoru deployed the Hell and Heaven attack. Goldy Marg's Super AI survived and was integrated into the Goldion Crusher, a new body developed as an ultimate weapon. The Goldion Crusher functioned only once, destroying itself due to backlash after successfully annihilating Pisa Sol. Despite this physical destruction, Goldy Marg's head and AI remained functional, allowing it to participate in farewell communications as ES Missile Capsules launched key personnel back to the solar system.
Later, within the narrative of *GaoGaiGar Vs. Betterman*, Goldy Marg was regenerated into its original body form by the Triple Zero entity within the universal embryo. Following its defeat by GaoFighGar and subsequent purification, its Super AI was installed into the Goldion Double Hammer, leading it to insist on being called "GoldyDoubleMarg." This upgrade resolved its original inability to wield the hammer directly. Eventually, its AI was transferred to operate the Goldion Armor.
A combination attack named "Gori-Marg," performed with Dag-Drill, appears in the game *Brave Saga 2*, involving Goldy Marg forcefully throwing Dag-Drill at an enemy.
