Ruthlessly loyal to the empire beyond even Emperor Burai, he masterminds schemes through calculated deception, such as masking his laboratory as a Y City hospital to covertly experiment on humans—transforming them into Oni soldiers. His attempts to convert amnesiac protagonist Ryoma Nagare were foiled by the Getter Team and Dinosaur Empire. Later, he fuels chaos by funding Hayato Jin’s cousin, Ryuji, supplying cybernetic upgrades to his gang. When Ryuji rebels, Gura weaponizes brainwashing tech to overwrite the cyborgs’ minds with Oni Soldiers’ consciousness, forcing Hayato to execute his kin.
