Description
Kennosuke is the grandfather of the main protagonist and the judo master leading the Sugata family dojo. Holding traditional values, he openly disapproves of his grandson's participation in PlaWrestling robot competitions. Kennosuke desires his grandson to focus solely on judo training to eventually inherit leadership of the dojo.

Beneath this critical exterior, Kennosuke harbors concealed concern for his grandson. He secretly attends numerous PlaWrestling matches, watching anxiously while maintaining his disapproving front in person. This hidden care conflicts with his traditional stance.

The Sugata family runs a disciplined, martial arts-focused household, with Kennosuke embodying its principles. He possesses a hot-blooded personality, personally relishing physical combat and martial challenges—a passion mirroring his grandson's enthusiasm for robot wrestling, though expressed differently.

Throughout the narrative, Kennosuke's perspective evolves. Witnessing his grandson's determination and successes in PlaWrestling, he gradually shifts from opposition to acceptance. This growth leads him to allow his grandson to follow his chosen path, relinquishing the demand for dojo succession. Kennosuke represents the family's martial legacy while adapting to the evolving passions of the younger generation.
