Tokujirō Hanada is the 78-year-old patriarch of the Hanada family. He is father to Takajirou and Daijirou, grandfather to Takajirou's children, and great-grandfather to protagonist Ichiro Hanada. His relationship with Ichiro features at least one notable conflict where Ichiro threatened him with a scythe while attempting to obtain a color television.
