Threatened by his actions, the other Celestial Guardians pooled fragments of their power to forge a new guardian, Mushra. They transformed Mushra’s core into a potent card and combined it with remnants of planets ravaged by Lanancuras to imprison him inside a meteorite. This prison harnessed celestial power to contain him before the meteorite was cast into deep space.
Even confined, Lanancuras’s influence persisted. His corruption emerged on 22nd-century Earth as a virus that fused with human DNA. Scientists created Enterrans—human-animal hybrids—to fight the virus. After a cure emerged, Lanancuras manipulated the Enterrans into waging war on humanity, nearly eradicating them.
The Kadrians engineered his release by redirecting the meteorite to crash on Earth. The impact weakened his seal but planetary fragments kept him partially confined.
