Luders Friegen is an Arrancar forcibly conscripted into the Wandenreich after the Quincy empire conquered Hueco Mundo. He possesses distinctive dual-tone hair and eyebrows—dark on the right and white on the left—with shoulder-length hair. Circular silver piercings, remnants of his Hollow mask, mark his face above and below the eyes. Standing 184 cm tall, he wears the standard Wandenreich uniform: a long white robe under a waist-length white hooded robe with epaulettes, featuring a thin black sash from the left epaulette to the right waist, and white boots.
His personality blends audacity toward adversaries with subservience to Yhwach. He confronts Captain-Commander Yamamoto without hesitation during the war declaration yet shows condescension toward fellow conscripted Arrancar Asguiaro Ebern, mocking Ebern's injuries and demanding deference, fueling conflicts between them.
Two days before invading Soul Society, Luders inspected the planned infiltration route into the Seireitei, reporting Soul Society would soon lose balance with the Human World. During the invasion, he led six masked Wandenreich soldiers to Yamamoto's chambers, interrupting and mortally wounding a Shinigami messenger. Luders declared war on the Gotei 13 and questioned the security of Yamamoto's quarters. After Lieutenant Chōjirō Sasakibe was impaled by an arrow, Luders presented the injury as symbolic of Yamamoto's future, proclaiming Soul Society's destruction in five days following futile resistance. The group retreated via the Quincy "Shadow" teleportation before Yamamoto could counterattack.
Returning to the Wandenreich base, Luders encountered the injured Ebern and derided him, sparking an argument. Yhwach intervened, severing Luders' right arm as punishment for discord. Despite his injury, Luders knelt before Yhwach and reiterated the five-day war preparation timeline. When Yhwach questioned if Luders presumed to be a prophet, Luders denied it. Yhwach deemed the unsanctioned prophecy an act of insubordination that revealed strategic information, executing Luders with a wave of his hand for this critical tactical error.
Luders demonstrated no combat abilities or unique powers beyond the standard Wandenreich "Shadow" teleportation. Yhwach confiscated his Zanpakutō upon conscription, leaving his Resurrección unrevealed. His relationships centered on antagonism toward Ebern and disposable, unquestioning loyalty to Yhwach. His narrative begins and concludes within the Thousand-Year Blood War arc.
