Boon is a prison guard at the Iceland labor camp, a facility extracting geothermal energy from Earth's mantle under warden Black Jack's command. Godo is imprisoned there for forbidden association with Rena. As part of Black Jack's covert escape plan for Godo, Boon engages in a staged physical confrontation with him. The fight culminates in Godo's victory, implicitly permitted by Black Jack to advance the escape objective. Boon does not reappear afterward.
