Description
Princesse Diamant, also known as Princess Silver, is the hereditary royal heir of the Crayon Kingdom bearing the full name Silver Marguerite. She exhibits a complex personality defined by twelve specific negative traits: excessive focus on fashion routines, chronic untidiness, habitual lateness, dishonesty, loud and temperamental outbursts, boastfulness, greed, selective eating habits, stubbornness, stinginess, deflection of responsibility, and excessive suspicion. These flaws constantly undermine her royal duties and relationships. Yet, she possesses a deep capacity for loyalty to her close companions, Stonston the pig and Araessa the rooster.
Her journey begins at her twelfth birthday when a confrontation results in her parents being transformed into stone statues. Believing the Grim Reaper responsible, she sets out to find him, accompanied by Stonston and Araessa. During this quest, she encounters Prince Cloud, initially mistaking him for the Grim Reaper. Prince Cloud joins her party and frequently highlights her flaws, establishing a dynamic of mutual criticism and tension.
Princesse Diamant develops romantic feelings for Prince Cloud, first noting his blond hair and blue eyes and later acknowledging internally that she has "fallen for him once." Their interactions mix antagonism with mutual concern, including shared dances and her misinterpretation of his critiques as compliments.
A core challenge involves confronting the actual Grim Reaper, who targets her due to her ancestry linking back to Queen Buretsu, the legendary ruler who previously defeated and sealed him. To permanently defeat the Grim Reaper and restore her parents, Princesse Diamant must overcome her twelve flaws. This process requires assembling broken mirror fragments, decoding hidden instructions, and ultimately executing a specific tactic against the Grim Reaper: retrieving a lock of his hair to break the curse.
Following this primary mission, she addresses new threats, including two mischievous angels released by her caretaker, the cat Punya. Prince Cloud intermittently rejoins her group during these subsequent adventures. Her development culminates in a willingness to undertake responsibilities beyond personal motives, actively working to maintain stability within the Crayon Kingdom alongside her companions.
