During the quest to reverse the king and queen's petrification and confront the Grim Reaper, Araessa frequently acts as the pragmatic voice within the group. He exhibits a tendency for direct criticism, particularly targeting Princess Silver’s numerous flaws and Stonston’s constant gluttony, often providing a counterbalance to their behaviors.

Beyond supporting the princess, he carries the specific duty of documenting flora and scenic landscapes through photography to aid in producing the Crayon Kingdom’s hanafuda cards.
