TV-Series
Description
Ururu serves as the initial primary antagonist. A highly intelligent Tyrannosaurus Rex identified as the Dinosaur King, he leads dinosaurs that escaped extinction by residing underground. These dinosaurs developed human-level intelligence and harbored resentment toward humanity's surface dominance. Ururu initiated a war to eradicate humanity and restore dinosaur supremacy, declaring his intent in 1986. He commanded various evolved dinosaur warriors, dispatching them to attack global human population centers. His forces included monsters repurposed from other Tsuburaya productions, such as the Giras Brothers and Neronga, alongside original dinosaur creations.
Ururu towers at 60 meters tall and weighs 40,000 tons. His capabilities include dinosaur mind control, firing red beams from his eyes to hypnotize subjects, sometimes granting them psychic powers to control other animals like dogs, rats, or bats. Additional powers encompass fire breath, an electric bite delivering high-voltage currents through his jaws, and energy bolts fired as twin red/blue streams from his mouth designed to envelop and damage targets. He frequently boasted of an IQ exceeding 300.
Midway through the series, Dinosaur Satan Gottes from the Black Nebula violently usurps Ururu's leadership, physically subduing him and demoting him within the hierarchy. Following this, Ururu feigns injury to approach Zen Tachibana, exploiting Zen's friendship with Topura, a defecting Triceratops. Ururu battles Topura, overpowers and discards him, then attacks the Izenborg ship. After biting the ship and electrifying it, he throws it aside, believing he achieved victory. During his celebratory dance set to the song "U.F.O" by Pink Lady, the ship recharges, launches upward, and decapitates Ururu, resulting in his explosive demise.
In the spin-off "Return of Izenborg," Ururu reappears, attacking an unnamed city as Gottes and Zobina watch. D-Force intervenes with ground weaponry, swiftly defeating him. Gottes and Zobina subsequently destroy the weapon before Izenborg arrives to confront them. This appearance reuses the original Tyrannosaurus suit from the main series.
