Description
Minako Tamura, mother of protagonist Eriko Tamura and wife of Yusuke Tamura—chairman of the prominent music firm Tamura Productions—first gained fame as an idol singer before marriage. This career established her link to the entertainment world her daughter would later join, indirectly fueling Eriko’s passion and talent for singing.
A catastrophic car accident kills Yusuke and leaves Minako comatose, fracturing the family. Eriko enters others’ care while Minako lies unresponsive for years, her absence driving Eriko’s singing pursuit in hopes her voice might rouse her mother.
Minako eventually awakens but battles severe amnesia, failing to recognize Eriko or recall their shared history. This memory gap strains their early reunion, creating emotional distance. Gradually, her memories resurface, mending their bond and restoring her maternal role.
Post-recovery, Minako fights to reclaim Tamura Productions from her brother-in-law, Kosuke Tamura. He had seized control after Yusuke’s death and sabotaged Eriko’s career. Minako’s triumph restores company leadership, ensuring stability and shielding Eriko’s professional path. Her presence at Eriko’s performances now marks her renewed support and maternal connection.
