TV-Series
Description
Yuusuke Tamura chaired the prominent music company Tamura Productions. Married to former idol singer Minako Tamura, they shared a daughter, Eriko. He possessed a protective nature towards his family, actively discouraging Eriko from entering the demanding entertainment industry. Overseeing the significant company venture Marine Live Stage, an ambitious underwater theater project, was a key responsibility. Before the series' events, he maintained a mentorship with Rei Asagiri, an established singer under Tamura Productions; his kindness provided Rei her first positive adult interaction, which she deeply valued. Yuusuke and Minako died in a car accident while traveling to Marine Live Stage's grand opening, resulting in his immediate death and Minako's coma. This tragedy created a power vacuum at Tamura Productions, seized by his resentful brother Kosuke, who believed himself the more capable leader. A keepsake Yuusuke gave Eriko was later destroyed during an assault orchestrated by Kosuke in Guam. Before his death, Yuusuke and Minako composed the song "Locomotion Dream" for Eriko, symbolizing his underlying belief in her talent despite his reservations. Posthumously, his legacy continued to influence events. Kosuke manipulated Rei by falsely claiming Yuusuke was her father who had abandoned her, exploiting her feelings of abandonment and resentment to turn her against Eriko. Yuusuke's genuine past kindness remained a significant factor in Rei's internal conflict even after Kosuke's deception was revealed. His role as a father figure and inspiration for Rei's music career endured despite his absence.
