Cyclops de Gyganto, alias Gigant, operates as a Specter in Hades' army under the title of Terrestrial Violence Star (地暴星). His surplice evokes the mythological Cyclops—a one-eyed giant famed for forging divine weapons for Olympian gods, later reimagined as cannibals in Homer's Odyssey.
Gigant initially surfaces near Sanctuary, spearheading Specters to spread whispers of Hades' return. They ambush Gold Saint Libra Dohko in an Italian forest, but their assault falters. Dohko annihilates Gigant's allies, leaving him briefly alive. Recognizing his foe, Gigant defiantly withholds Hades' location before perishing from wounds, declaring the Specters' defeat would erase their trail.
Revived by Hades after Griffon Minos' downfall, Gigant joins Wyvern Rhadamanthys' invasion of Athena's Sanctuary. Tasked with monitoring resurrected Gold Saints assigned to assassinate Athena, he carries orders to execute them upon failure. Concealed among sixteen fellow Specters, he emerges when revived Saints vanish. He interrogates and tries torturing Aries Mu for information until Papillon Myu intervenes to seize the fight.
Advancing to Leo Temple, Gigant confronts Leo Aiolia about the revived Saints' route. After Aiolia obliterates five Specters, Gigant withdraws at Worm Raimi's arrival. The group progresses to Virgo Temple, where Virgo Shaka exposes an impostor among them. Gigant accuses Dullahan Cube, but Shaka halts the clash by unveiling all Specters' identities. Gigant observes Gemini Saga, Capricorn Shura, and Aquarius Camus unmasked as infiltrators cloaked in Specter surplices.
When Shaka permits only the three impostors passage, Gigant and surviving Specters storm the temple. Shaka effortlessly eradicates them using the Demon Pacifier technique. Dying, Gigant proclaims loyalty to Hades bestows eternal life. Shaka retorts that Buddha never recognized such a notion, prompting Gigant to doubt whether Hades deceived him as he expires.
