Orie Kayama, mother to protagonist Licca and daughter of Nanae Kayama, descends from the royal lineage of the Doll Kingdom, destined to become its next queen. She abandoned this duty after falling in love with human musician Pierre Kayama. Fleeing the Doll Kingdom with her mother Nanae and infant Licca, Orie sought refuge in the human world to escape the demon Devaul, who had possessed her aunt Yae Kayama.

Establishing a new life, Orie became a fashion designer, operating her boutique "Juerl" or "KAYAMA." She married Pierre, who took her surname, and they had more children: twin daughters Miki and Maki, followed by triplets Miku, Kako, and Gen. Orie possesses brown hair and brown eyes and drives a red Mini Cooper.

Throughout the series, Orie works closely with Nanae to protect Licca from recurring threats by Devaul and his minions, like Dr. Scarecrow. She actively safeguards her daughter, using her knowledge of their royal heritage and its dangers. Later, Pierre faces kidnapping by antagonists from the Doll Kingdom, escalating the family's conflicts.

Orie initially concealed Licca's true identity as the Doll Kingdom's princess, a secret gradually revealed over time. Her role emphasizes maternal protection and resilience, often partnering with Nanae to navigate challenges stemming from their supernatural origins while maintaining their human lives.
