Waaya acts as one of Dr. Scarecrow's primary assistants alongside Puru, executing missions targeting Licca Kayama under orders from antagonists like Devaul or the possessed Queen Yae. Waaya shares a sibling relationship with Puru, identified as her sister. They collaborate closely on Scarecrow's plans but are frequently depicted as comically inept, leading to consistent failure and setbacks for Scarecrow's objectives regarding Licca.

Midway through the series, Waaya and Puru undergo reformation, abandoning their allegiance to the antagonists. Following this change, they actively assist in protecting Licca, utilizing their knowledge and resources to counter threats against her.

Waaya appears alongside Scarecrow and Puru in the OVA "Licca-chan Zettai Zetsumei! Doll Knights no Kiseki", which introduces new antagonists.
