Description
Alexander, a wolf distinguished by blue-black fur darker along his back and lighter beneath, discovers an orphaned human infant and becomes Mowgli's adoptive father. He and his mate Luri, alongside their biological sons Akru and Sura, fully integrate Mowgli into their family as one of their own cubs.

When Shere Khan threatens the newborn Mowgli, Alexander confronts the tiger to shield the child and his family, revealing his fiercely protective nature early. He later advocates for Mowgli’s formal induction into the wolf pack, securing crucial support from Akela, Baloo, and Bagheera to ensure the man-cub’s acceptance.

After Akela steps down as leader, Alexander reluctantly battles his friend Vermillion in a physical contest mandated by jungle law to determine succession. Though victorious and declared leader, Alexander deems himself unsuited for the role and declares he would relinquish it to Vermillion should the latter return.

As a mentor, Alexander teaches Mowgli survival skills like fishing. Pragmatically recognizing the boy’s human limitations in hunting, he enlists Bagheera to provide specialized instruction, reflecting his adaptable approach to parenting and leadership.

Alexander meets his end defending Mowgli and the pack from Shere Khan during a forest fire. He sustains fatal injuries in the confrontation and dies in Mowgli’s arms, cementing his legacy as a sacrificial protector of his family.
