Description
Murmukusmon stands as the central antagonist in the Digimon Frontier movie "Revival of the Ancient Digimon!!" (localized as "Island of Lost Digimon"). Once a high-ranking Angel Digimon, he fell to become a Demon Lord Digimon, bearing the title of "Count" within the Nightmare Soldiers and commanding thirty legions of demons. The Mythical Beast Digimon Griffomon serves as his attendant, acting as an extension of his will.

Banished to the Lost Island for past atrocities, Murmukusmon discovered the sealed ancient Digimon Ornismon and a prophecy foretelling its revival: "Let the bloodstained Digicode of hatred fill the Wings of the Sea Bird, and thus we shall be revived." To obstruct others from deciphering this prophecy, he destroyed portions of the mural containing the instructions and stole the physical "Wings of the Sea Bird" artifact. He then engineered a perpetual war between the island's Human Digimon and Beast Digimon factions, ensuring a constant supply of fallen Digimon whose fractal code (Digicode) could be harvested.

Executing his scheme through magical ability, Murmukusmon disguised himself simultaneously as two distinct Digimon. As Darcmon, he posed as the pious, compassionate leader of the Human Digimon, publicly lamenting losses and preaching peace while covertly urging retaliation. As Hippogriffomon, he embodied the fierce, vengeful commander for the Beast Digimon, openly demanding violent justice. Manipulating both sides prolonged the conflict, accumulating sufficient fractal code from the casualties.

His deception unraveled when the DigiDestined witnessed Darcmon transform into Hippogriffomon. Confronted, Murmukusmon shed his disguises, absorbed the accumulated Digicode into the Wings of the Sea Bird, and successfully revived Ornismon. He then revealed his true half-bird, half-demon form and mounted Ornismon to commence conquest. In the ensuing battle, former subordinates turned against him upon realizing his betrayal. This distraction enabled Agunimon to deliver a fatal blow, defeating him permanently.

Within the manga *Digimon Next*, Murmukusmon's background expands. Originally the angelic MagnaAngemon (Holy Angemon), he was tasked with protecting the System World's host computer. His fall began when caring for an abandoned DemiVeemon (Chibimon), which died lacking a Tamer's love. Consumed by grief and hatred toward humans, he was corrupted by the Demon Lord Barbamon into Murmukusmon. As one of Barbamon's "Three Commanders," he initially fought the protagonists but later achieved redemption after battling the DigiDestined Shou and Ravmon. Reverting to MagnaAngemon, he allied with the heroes against N.E.O., choosing a path aligned with the fallen Chibimon's memory.

His signature attacks include "Gehenna Flame," spewing hellfire to inflict eternal suffering, and "Necro Interrogation," deploying a deadly sphere to inflict massive damage. His ability to manipulate conflicts through deception persists across all appearances.
