Description
Murmukusmon is a Mega-level Digimon and the primary antagonist of the movie "Revival of the Ancient Digimon," also known as "Island of Lost Digimon." Banished to the Lost Island for past evil deeds, he discovered the sealed Ornismon and a prophecy detailing its revival through the collection of fractal code from fallen Digimon. Murmukusmon destroyed parts of the prophecy mural to conceal his plan.

He possesses the ability to slide-evolve into two distinct forms. As Darcmon, he led the Human Digimon faction under a pious, peace-loving guise while secretly inciting war, wielding the sword "La Pucelle" and attacks like "Baptême d'Amour." As Hippogriffomon, he commanded the Beast Digimon faction as a fierce, vengeful leader, employing attacks such as "Heat Wave" and "Sonic Voice." Through these dual identities, Murmukusmon manipulated both factions into prolonged conflict to harvest fractal code from casualties to revive Ornismon.

During the movie's climax, Murmukusmon's deception was exposed when the DigiDestined witnessed Darcmon slide-evolving into Hippogriffomon. Forced to reveal his true form, Murmukusmon absorbed the accumulated fractal code, successfully reviving Ornismon. He mounted Ornismon and declared his intent to conquer the Digital World, utilizing attacks like "Gehenna Flame," which spews hellfire, and "Necro Interrogation." Despite his power, Murmukusmon was defeated when his former subordinates turned against him, distracting him long enough for Agunimon to deliver a fatal blow.

In the manga *Digimon Next*, Murmukusmon is depicted as a former high-ranking Angel Digimon named MagnaAngemon. Corrupted into a Demon Lord after a tragic incident involving an abandoned DemiVeemon, his despair was exploited by Barbamon, transforming his hatred toward humans into universal malice. This corruption earned him the title of "Count" within the Nightmare Soldiers, commanding thirty legions of demons attended by Gryphonmon. Within this narrative, Murmukusmon later redeemed himself, reverting to MagnaAngemon and aiding in the battle against NEO.

Murmukusmon also appears in other media: *Digimon Masters* as an evolution from SkullSatamon, and in *Digimon Heroes!* and *Digimon New Century* as a playable character or within an evolution line.
