Odile serves as the sorcerer Rothbart's daughter in this anime adaptation. She actively aids her father in his plots against Princess Odette and Prince Siegfried. Her personal desire to win Siegfried for herself aligns with Rothbart's goal to possess Odette, fueling her participation in the conspiracy to separate the couple.

Early on, Odile warns Rothbart of Siegfried's deepening feelings for Odette. Later, she helps physically restrain Odette to stop her from reaching Siegfried's birthday ball. Rothbart and Odile then craft their deception: Odile magically takes on Odette's appearance while wearing a black dress. Attending the ball disguised as Odette, she tricks Siegfried into declaring his love and promising marriage. During this, Rothbart forcibly silences the real Odette and forces her to witness Siegfried's betrayal.

After Siegfried discovers the trick, Odile reveals her true identity beside Rothbart. Both transform into their avian forms—Odile becoming a black bird—and flee to their castle. When Siegfried confronts Rothbart and rejects his pledge to her, Odile demands Siegfried's death. The conflict ends as Siegfried sacrifices himself to break Rothbart's curse. This act causes Rothbart's castle to collapse, killing both Rothbart and Odile as all enchantments dissolve.
