Description
Kurokichi Norayama is a 92-year-old anthropomorphic dog and military veteran. He served as a Captain in the "Fierce Dogs Regiment," a dog army structured like the Imperial Japanese Army. His service included combat against opposing forces, notably an enemy named Jimībuta Kawa.
Following World War II, Kurokichi entered civilian life. In the reboot timeline set during Japan's economic "Lost Decades," he resides with his grandson, Norakuro Kurokichi (Norakuro-kun), and the human Takahashi family, reflecting a society where humans and anthropomorphic dogs coexist.
Kurokichi maintains relationships with wartime comrades: the 103-year-old former Colonel Buru, the 97-year-old former Captain Moru, and the 76-year-old former pilot and soldier Deka. His background as a stray dog who enlisted and rose to the rank of Captain informs his identity as a disciplined veteran adapting to postwar societal changes.
