Karimu serves as a minor antagonist and loyal underling to Taka within the Sumekari tribe. He survives the destruction of the Sumekari encampment by Tyranno alongside Taka and another follower, Tome. The trio continues pursuing Ryu, driven by Taka's vendetta. Karimu actively participates in Taka's hostile actions against Ryu and his companions. During one of Taka's ambushes, Karimu attempts to kill Don with a spear. Gan sacrifices himself to protect Don, intercepting Karimu's spear.
