Description
Mr. X is the primary antagonist in the original *Tiger Mask* manga and anime. He serves as the right-hand man and chief enforcer for the Tiger's Den, a criminal organization training wrestlers for deadly matches and demanding half their winnings. His duties involve maintaining order, coordinating matches, eliminating traitors, and ensuring wrestler loyalty. His name alone strikes terror within the Tiger's Den due to his reputation for employing cruel, lethal methods against defiance.

Physically, Mr. X cuts a tall, imposing figure. He consistently appears in formal 19th-century gentleman's attire: a top hat, monocle, smoking jacket, cloak, and cane. A distinct media difference exists: the anime depicts him with violet-toned skin, while the manga uses a natural skin tone.

His personality is ruthlessly sadistic and cunning. He demonstrates unwavering loyalty to Tiger's Den leadership, yet harbors deep fear of their retribution for failure. He intensely despises the protagonist Naoto Date (Tiger Mask) for betraying the organization, yet paradoxically exhibits a degree of respect, notably refraining from targeting Date's associates outside the ring in the anime. This hatred evolves into a consuming obsession driving his relentless efforts to eliminate Tiger Mask.

His pursuit of Tiger Mask forms a central narrative arc. After Tiger Mask defects and donates his winnings to orphanages, Mr. X systematically dispatches assassins and wrestlers to kill him in the ring. Following their failures, Mr. X personally vows to execute Tiger Mask. Their conflict concludes differently: in the original anime, Mr. X dies in a car accident during pursuit. The manga depicts his survival; he flees with the Tiger's Den leaders after the organization's defeat. In the manga continuity, he commits further atrocities, kidnapping and torturing Kenta, a child connected to Tiger Mask. He ultimately escapes justice by threatening the leaders at gunpoint and evading capture.

His legacy extends into the sequel series *Tiger Mask W*. While the original Mr. X does not appear, he is succeeded by two relatives: a nephew who physically resembles him almost identically, adopting the same attire, mannerisms, and role within a revived Tiger's Den. This nephew collaborates with Miss X, who oversees the Global Wrestling Monopoly (GWM), a front organization secretly controlled by the new Tiger's Den. These successors perpetuate his methods and objectives in the new generation's conflict.
