TV-Series
Description
Cassandra teaches at the hive's bee school and becomes Maya's primary caretaker and adoptive mother following her birth, naming the young bee. Her duties involve instructing students on hive protocols, floral knowledge, and identifying threats such as hornets and frogs. She emphasizes diligence, order, and the vital importance of communal work, patiently guiding her charges. She can become frustrated, particularly with Willy's habit of neglecting homework to nap.

Initially strict and protective, especially regarding Maya's adventurous disregard for hive rules and safety during early outings, Cassandra's personality shifted significantly across adaptations. The original 1975 anime depicted her as colder, sometimes harsh, and occasionally threatening towards Maya's rebellion. The 2012 reboot and CGI films transformed her into a consistently compassionate, sweet, and dedicated figure focused on student well-being, appearing more frequently as a main character.

Key narrative moments include teaming with Maya and Willy to rescue Theo from frogs. Later, acknowledging Maya and Willy's need for a different life, she permits them to reside permanently in the meadow after their return. She experiences health issues, including an allergy requiring Maya's assistance to diagnose and cure, which temporarily prevents her from working.

In the film series, Cassandra appears in *Maya the Bee Movie (2014)* and *Maya the Bee 3: The Golden Orb (2021)*, absent from *Maya the Bee: The Honey Games (2018)*. Her hive role remains consistent: overseeing education and maintaining order. She harbors a distinct dislike for wasps and frogs, reflecting the bees' perceived enemies. A potential familial relationship with Flip is hinted. Her dedication centers on nurturing the young bees under her care, embodying a maternal and instructive presence throughout Maya's development.
