Description
Triton emerged as the sole survivor after the Poseidon clan annihilated his lineage 5000 years prior, driven by envy. Rescued as an orphaned infant by the white dolphin Ruka, he found sanctuary in Japanese coastal caves. A human boy, Kazuya Yasaki, adopted and raised him. Poseidon’s tsunami later destroyed Kazuya’s village, claiming his father’s life. Triton relocated with Kazuya and his mother to Tokyo before maturing and returning to the ocean to pursue vengeance against Poseidon’s family.
He waged a personal war against Poseidon and his forces, aided by dolphin allies Ruka, Uru, Karu, and Fin. During this conflict, he encountered Pipiko, the last surviving mermaid. Together they battled Poseidon’s minions while Triton systematically eliminated Poseidon’s 33 children. The ancient turtle Ganomosu guided him to refuge on a floating island encircled by seven whirlpools.
Triton and Poseidon formed a truce brokered by Ganomosu to confront a monstrous offspring of Poseidon endangering the seas. Triton defeated the creature by luring it onto land and exposing it to sunlight. He then married Pipiko, fathering seven children named for rainbow hues: Blue, Green, Indigo, Yellow, Orange, Red, and Violet.
Tragedy struck when humans abducted his daughter Green during a storm. Manipulated by Poseidon into believing false reports of her death, Triton unleashed tsunamis on Tokyo and was framed for the catastrophe. After uncovering the deception and reuniting with Green and Blue, Triton was shot while returning them to the sea. Kazuya helped expose Poseidon’s scheme.
For the final battle, Triton designated his son Blue as the mermen’s new leader. He and Ganomosu assaulted Poseidon’s base, triggering an explosion that destroyed the facility. Triton perished in the confrontation. His family, guided by Pipiko, relocated to Ganomosu Island and severed ties with humanity at Blue Triton’s command.
Triton’s journey transformed him from a vengeful survivor into a leader grappling with moral complexities, culminating in sacrificial resolve for his family’s future. His narrative intertwines retribution, reconciliation, and the cyclical nature of violence.
