Description
Born in U.C. 0124 in the impoverished Albania colony of Side 1, Maria Pure Armonia developed potent psychic abilities enabling her to heal any illness. This power fueled her growing influence and popularity. Her ideals centered on establishing a matriarchal society, driven by the belief that men were the root cause of societal ills. With Fonse Kagatie's support, she co-founded a radical political party. This party rose to prominence within Side 2's government, eliminating political opponents and corrupt officials through public guillotining, a method that garnered widespread popular support.

In U.C. 0149, she established the Zanscare Empire, serving as its queen and spiritual leader. Kagatie propagated that Maria was a direct descendant of the noble House Armonious, leveraging her image to legitimize the empire. Her doctrine, "Mariaism," venerated maternal figures as symbols of universal peace and harmony, resonating deeply with followers and solidifying her role as a revered prophet. The empire's military force, BESPA, initiated conflicts that escalated into full-scale war against the Earth Federation and the resistance group League Militaire. Despite her position, Maria exhibited limited control over BESPA's operations and appeared disconnected from the genocidal tactics employed by her forces.

Maria's personal history included the unexplained loss of her infant daughter, Shakti Kareen, whom she later encountered during the war. She was also the elder sister of Chronicle Asher, a high-ranking BESPA pilot. Her encounter with League Militaire member Uso Ewin revealed her naivety regarding the war's brutality. While attempting to aid Uso, she was assassinated by the traitorous Zanscare officer Tassilo Vago on June 22, U.C. 0153, during the sinking of the Zanscare flagship. Her death coincided with the collapse of the Zanscare Empire following the decisive Battle of Angel Halo.
