Oliver Inoe commands the first Shrike Team for the resistance group League Militaire, piloting the LM312V04 Victory Gundam alongside Uso Ewin and Marbet Fingerhat. During the war against the Zanscare Empire, he develops a relationship with fellow pilot Marbet Fingerhat, marrying her midway through the conflict. Marbet later becomes pregnant with their child, though neither initially realizes her condition.
Earlier in the conflict, Oliver briefly operates the Gun EZ Unit 8, an early production mobile suit assigned to the Shrike Team. This unit eventually serves as a source of spare parts after equipment upgrades. Oliver sacrifices his life during a pivotal assault against Zanscare's Adrastea-class battleships launched from the Moon by Chronicle Asher. In a final act, he rams his detached Core Fighter into one battleship's tread mechanism to disable it, though the effort fails to stop the warship.
Following his death, Marbet discovers her pregnancy and ultimately gives birth to their child in Kasarelia after the war concludes.
