Description
The character known as Raigar, also spelled Liger or Ryger, serves as the second prince of the Emperius Empire. He stands among the royal family with his older brother Samson and younger brother Yuger. Following Samson's death battling General Roboleon, Liger takes up the role of piloting the giant robot Daikengo, a guardian entity activated by a comet recurring every 950 years. This choice results in his disownment by Emperor Empel, who accepts a Magellan Empire offer of peace in exchange for Daikengo and Liger's surrender.

Liger is hot-blooded and rebellious by nature, frequently challenging authority like his father when he perceives actions endangering Emperius. He exhibits exceptional swordsmanship, a skill refined through childhood duels with Samson. Protective of his younger brother Yuger, he intercepts Yuger's intended role as Daikengo's pilot, recognizing Yuger's fear of combat. His moral compass demands honorable warfare, leading him to criticize allies such as Bryman for excessive brutality.

His journey transitions him from a disowned fugitive to a reconciled royal. After Emperor Empel uncovers the Magellan Empire's deception, he reinstates Liger's status. Despite this restoration, Liger declines the throne following Emperor Magellan's final defeat, instead entrusting rulership to Yuger. He commits to permanently operating Daikengo to safeguard the empire, viewing this duty as his true calling.
